Maggie is the Senior Program Director for International Academic Programs at the Duke Sanford School of Public Policy. Maggie graduated from Duke Sanford with her Masters of Public Policy in 2014. Before coming to Duke, she was an AmeriCorps VISTA in Manchester, New Hampshire where developed and expanded programs to make college more accessible to low income and first generation students. She also developed a ‘Destination College’ course for resettled refugee youth in the city. Maggie has a background in education and immigration policy and worked for the International Labor Organization to increase and improve research on child migrants.
Maggie earned her B.A. in International Studies from California State University, Long Beach. In addition to coordinating the J. Kirk Felsman Program on Children in Adversity, Maggie also coordinates three other Sanford programs in Switzerland and India.
